The Defensive Pistol Program (DPP) is a comprehensive, multi-level training curriculum designed to equip students with the necessary skills to effectively and responsibly defend themselves. With its unique focus on skill development, objective- and performance-based training, and adaptability to individual skill levels, DPP differentiates itself amidst a competitive landscape of individual trainers, local shooting ranges and national organizations’ current training offerings.
This live fire program covers 5 weekly modules, each module is approximately 3 hours in length
- Range Module 1: Fundamentals of Defensive Marksmanship | January 21, 2025, 6pm – 9pm
- Range Module 2: Presentation from Concealment | January 28, 2025, 6pm – 9pm
- Range Module 3: The Balance of Speed & Precision | February 4, 2025, 6pm – 9pm
- Range Module 4: Defensive Response | February 11, 2025, 6pm – 9pm
- Range Module 5: Malfunctions & Single-Handed Shooting | February 18, 2025, 6pm – 9pm
Required Equipment for the live fire modules:
- Semi-Automatic Pistol
- Concealed Carry Holster (Appendix, Inside, or Outside Waistband), Preferably Kydex. SERPA holsters, and similar style holsters, are not allowed in class.
- Sturdy Belt
- Concealment Garment (this is a concealed carry class)
- 3 magazines
- Eye and Ear Protection
- Notebook and Pen
- Closed-toed Shoes
- Brimmed Hat
- 1000 rounds of ammo for the 5 weeks
- Minimum of 1 magazine carrier

1. Progression Requirements:
Students must successfully complete each session and demonstrate safe firearm handling skills before being permitted to advance to the next session.
2. Missed Sessions:
- If a student misses a session, they will be required to complete a private lesson to cover the missed material before continuing to the next session.
- The cost of the private lesson is not included in the class fee and must be paid by the student.
3. Re-Take Options for Non-Passing Students:
- Students who do not pass a session will be allowed to retake the class during its next offering free of charge.
- Alternatively, students may arrange a private training session to address skill deficiencies before rejoining the class.
4. Serious Safety Violations:
Any student committing a serious safety violation will be immediately removed from the class without refund.
5. Refund Policy:
Under no circumstances will refunds be issued, regardless of progression, removal, or missed sessions.
