The Skill-Builder class is designed to improve skills and techniques related to accurate defensive shooting and shot placement for intermediate to advanced shooters. It focuses on accuracy-based shooting with traditional defensive pistols at various distances. This class also offers advanced shooters the chance to refresh and practice their skills which emphasize speed, precision, and shot placement. Target transitions and timed movement shooting will also be incorporated to challenge students to maintain accuracy while moving between multiple targets or engaging in defensive scenarios.

All students must possess basic shooting safety fundamentals and know how to safely handle, load, unload, and clear malfunctions. A basic level of experience working with a holster is required.

Prerequisites: Handgun 102 or equivalent approved by the instructor.

• At least two spare magazines

• Spare magazine carrier

• 150rds of brass-cased ammunition
